The hot water is fine. The heating is not switching on when I switch on the room thermostat in my customary fashion. I have tried turning the boiler knob to maximum temperature but the heating still doesn’t come on. Any Thoughts on this?

Definitely sounds like a controller issue. Either an issue with the controller circuitry / PCB or the thermostat / sensor. Are any fault codes displaying?
